Cuba the Seventeenth Largest Island
Cuba is the 17th largest island in the world. Doesn’t that arouse your interest to go and see the island which is the most populated place in the Caribbean? It is the place where salsa dance is very famous. It is a Republican Communist country. It is formed by two main islands, the Island of Cuba and the Isle of Youth. Cuba was discovered by Columbus. The official language is Spanish and the currency is called Peso.
The capital of Cuba is Havana. It is the largest producer of sugar in the world and tobacco being the second largest crop so it is not unusual to see the men chewing tobacco and spitting on the street.
The capital is the place where you can see the relics of Cuban history. It is an island full of beautiful beaches. You don’t have to make any arrangement or bother about getting the facilities as it is tourist season all the year round due to the moderate weather where the temperature never rises beyond 26 degree.
The beaches are really beautiful and you can enjoy the warmth of the mild sun rays on the beaches while taking a cool dip in the sea surrounded by coral reefs and palm trees.
Havana is densely populated but there is nothing to worry there are other famous cities which you can visit. Santiago de Cuba, Pinar del Rio and Santa Clara are the beautiful cities where there is less population and you can tour the place in the local bus as that is the cheapest mode of conveyance.
Everywhere you will find the mixture of African, Caribbean and Spanish culture. The best way to get the taste of the mixed culture is to take on rent the rooms offered by the local people and enjoy their cuisine, lifestyle and culture like the residents of the country.
Do not forget to taste the famous Cuban cigar. To get the real feeling of the local life travel by the local mode of conveyance this is not only cheap, but is easily available. Rent your own vehicle if you want to see the mango orchards and other fruit groves which are on the way while you travel from one place to another.
Near the sea beach do not forget to taste the lobsters and dishes prepared with other sea food.
